Certified Leadership Coach Training
& Impact Lab

1. Foundation and Identity (Sessions 1 and 2): Students clarify their values and learn the foundations of the ICF Core Competencies and Motivational Interviewing. They also describe their purpose and the people they intend to serve.

2. Constituency Discovery (Sessions 3 to 5): Students practice structured listening and map the constituents connected to their work. They learn the shared vision of the people already doing that work.

3. Validation and Measurement (Sessions 6 to 8): Students learn the Minimum Viable Action, which is a small, real action that tests an assumption, along with measurement tools for coaching goals. Each student writes a Coaching Value Statement informed by the values, needs and beliefs of their constituents.

4. Constituent Engagement and Acknowledgement (Sessions 9 and 10): Students partner with constituents to develop a shared vision into a coaching project. They review results through Build-Measure-Learn cycles and practice precise acknowledgement.

5. Decisions and Difficult Conversations (Sessions 11 to 13): Students practice observation and feedback and coach decisions under uncertainty using Pivot, Persevere or Stop. They use innovation accounting to identify real progress.

6. Discovery and Community (Sessions 14 and 15): Students refine their Coaching Value Statement and practice the discovery conversation. They also discuss a niche recognition event that acknowledges the niche population.

7. Integration and Capstone (Sessions 16 and 17): Students complete their Coaching Impact Plan and Capstone Competency Self-Evaluation and present both at the Capstone Forum.

Certified Leadership Coach
|

The Certified Leadership Coach Training & Impact Lab is a live cohort of seventeen two-hour sessions. Students learn to coach executives, leaders and entrepreneurs through the eight ICF Core Competencies. The program serves two paths: students building a coaching practice, and leaders bringing coaching into their leadership of a program, caseload or team alongside community partners. Students complete five observed coaching sessions with written instructor feedback and five practice coaching conversations with constituents, and mentors and peers support them throughout the program.

The program includes 62.75 contact learning hours, which is designed to meet the 60 hours of coach-specific education that ICF requires for the ACC credential. Together with the 10 required hours of mentor coaching, the total is 72.75 hours. Students who complete both this program and the Certified Professional Coach program complete 126.25 contact learning hours, or 136.25 hours together with mentor coaching. The PCC credential requires 125 hours of coach-specific education.

Certified Executive Coach

Students graduate with integrated coaching skills, a validated coaching offering, and relationships with organizations that share their vision. Each proof of concept joins a collaborative ecosystem. These methods come from ten years of partnership-based coaching that reached clients in trusted settings and funded a growing coaching team.

Students complete the 10 hours of mentor coaching required for an ICF credential over a period of at least three months. Seven hours take place in weekly group sessions on Fridays from Week 4, at 12:00 PM or 3:45 PM New York time, and three hours are individual mentoring.
